Hello, it's nice to meet you!

I am a nature loving artist in New England. I live on a little hobby farm (we keep horses and hens, and grow flowers and fruit!) that is bordered by the meeting place of two happy rivers and a swath of bird and wildlife-filled wetlands. I am lucky to be able to commune daily with nature that is right outside my door., Sometimes I am so filled with gratitude and wonder for these familiar places (and others that I explore) that I want to be able to share their ever-changing beauty, energy, and lessons. I hope you will find some scenes within my work that will give you that same sense of familiarity, peace or excitement, and gratitude for the beauty of the natural world.

My inspiration comes from the joy of living close to the land, the vibrancy of an ever-changing color palette, the energy and flow of life in the natural world.

Techniques

I like to work outside en plein air when I can, and I use acrylic paints that dry quickly and help me to use a rapid and intuitive approach to capturing a scene.
