This collection is work that was originally painted directly onto sheets of clear acrylic, then mounted onto a stainless steel backing. Areas of the painting were left clear to form windows to the metal background, which reflects light through the painting differently depending on the viewer's position relative to light sources. In some of these pieces, multiple planes are painted (front and back on multiple pieces) and bits of the scenes may be revealed through exploration at different angles. The process creates a dynamic exploration of reflection and transparency, allowing multiple scenes to emerge from the paintings as stories unfold following the path of light reverberating through multiple planes, reflecting and illuminating not only what is, but what has been and what may be.

Currently, prints are offered as the images shown below, and are not mounted on metal. Stay tuned for acrylic prints on metal, which should be available shortly!
