"Driving Into the Sunset" is an unframed 8" x 10" original oil painting on panel.

If there was one theme that came out of the summer of 2023 for me, it was a resolution to explore and experience as much as I can of the life that unfolds in front of me.

So, in seven days, I travelled just under 2500 miles, across nine states to parts of the country I have never visited before.

For the first half of my route's loop, I was heading southwest from CT, straight into and extending the length of the sunsets. That meant I had a lot of time to fully appreciate driving into the sunset!

This painting is my reminder of the glorious freedom I experienced during that week. The freedom of abundant time with my thoughts, freedom of an open itinerary on an open road, and the freedom of an adventurer’s open mindset.

To preserve the memories, to help recall the insights I came to, and to remind me of the sensations of the adventure, I made this little souvenir painting. This painting can be yours if it takes you back to a certain sunset that maybe looked a bit like this.
